Bloomin BBQ 2010

Barbecue is a social event!

It’s time for great music and great food in Sevierville. The Annual Bloomin’ Barbecue and Bluegrass Festival, a headlining event for Smoky Mountain Springfest, takes place May 14-15. Admission to the popular celebration is FREE.

This two day street party takes place in downtown Sevierville with live Bluegrass and plenty of varieties of barbecue for sale, kids activities, and a Barbecue cook off.

There will be live bluegrass music all weekend long, filling the streets with this classic southern style of music. Performers of note include Blue Highway, Darrell Webb, and the Dan Tyminski Band.

The Mountain Soul vocal competition is a unique tribute to hometown hero Dolly Parton. Contestants perform one of the many songs penned by Ms. Parton herself.

The Barbecue cook-off is a Tennessee State Championship competition. Judges and participants will abide by rules from the sanctioning body, The Kansas City Barbecue Society. There are four categories: Chicken, Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket.
