New Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show

Friday, November 19th, 2010

Hatfield and McCoy

There is soon to be a new show in town, and there’s feuding in the hills already! The Black Bear Jamboree Dinner Show will be transforming into a completely new show after the winter shows are over on January 1, 2011. The new show is based on the legendary feuds between the Hatfields and the McCoys. The new show will be an exciting addition to the East Tennessee’s entertainment industry.

Two mountain homes with a big red barn in between will be the new look of the theater. Guest’s will start out as either a Hatfield or a McCoy as they enter from the parking lot. After entering the theater, servers will be there to show the guest’s to their specialized seats and begin encouraging the rivalry. The menu will include: Chicken, ribs, creamy vegetable soup, and a special twist for dessert.

Singers, dancers, musicians, actors, and dangerously exciting stunt people will round out the cast. Throughout the show, performers will tell the story of some of America’s most famous rival clans. Beginning with battles and making sure to end with a uniting romance, the show hopes to thrill and entertain the crowd.

Before and after the show, the lobby and gift-shop can be found packed with amazing souvenirs and displays. An interactive learning center, that highlights the history of the mountain people, can also be found in the form of the largest moonshine still. Guiness Records will be there to prove that the new moonshine still is in fact the largest in the world!

Our area is rich with Appalachian heritage,” said theatre co-owner David Fee. “Mountain clans were a way of life here, and this show will showcase all that’s great about them!

Lots of fun and excitement is planned for the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show opening next spring!
