Titanic’s Winter Wonderland

Titanic Pigeon Forge

The Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee has been a big hit ever since  it opened in April of 2010. Meeting expectations of fans everywhere, the Titanic has announced something new and exciting for this holiday season. It will snow! As part of the museum’s “Christmas in a Winter Wonderland,” every Friday and Saturday night at 7pm from November 13 to January 1 of 2011 there will be snow! This event is truly dedicated to honoring and celebrating the lives of the 2,208 passengers and crew of the Titanic.

The museum owners are going all out for the Christmas season with equipment that  makes real, falling snow. With the same $150,000 equipment used to make it snow at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom every Christmas, snow will now be falling early in Tennessee. A reported $100,000 for Christmas decorations will also don both the inside and outside of the Titanic Museum. Decorations include: trees, ornaments, and thousands of twinkling lights.

“Everything about our Christmas in a Winter Wonderland Celebration is aimed at giving our visitors and their families a unique, memorable holiday experience. A memory that will last forever – and isn’t that what Christmas is all about?” says owner John Joslyn.
